FEATURISTIC COMPARISON

I shall compare thee to a phone…

Slim light and multi colored,
Fully touch no buttons to push,
A camera from behind just to watch my back,
Bright screen that displays all of your qualities,

You’ve got me on speed dial in your phone book,
When we’re not together we keep texting love messages,
And when we meet up you stop the clock,
So we can have all the time in the world to play games,

You’ve got our love so in tune we dance to the music,
Am trapped in the net lost in your world wide web of fantasies,
So in sync flowing like waves of the radio,
Yes we are living life like a video,

All these better sweet memories safely stored away,
Through the photographs and clips in your gallery,
But you insist you must also narrate them in the diary,
Baby you are my one four three,

SQUARELY UNFAIR

Tears stream down my face from the red pair,
Of my eyes as I stare,
Pensively through heavy rain into the darkness of the night,
I have lost clear sight,
But the mind still has a vivid visual,
How this world operates as usual,

Trouble follows already burdened minds,
While to the fortunate favor finds,
Hanger fills the malnourished,
As flavor adds to stomachs dearly cherished,
Plague feasts on ailing souls,
While in the mighty health covers the holes,

The humble with poverty scratch their itches,
While wealth keeps hunting riches,
Animosity feeds on the hated,
As passion invigorates love already sedated,
To those sorrowing grief pays a visit,
While joy welcomes and hands happiness a seat,

You’re now all very aware,
This life is so very unfair,
It breaks me to know I can do nothing,
And those who can don’t care about a thing,
So I cry and continue to wonder,
Am finding it difficult to go to slumber,

BEFORE YOU GET TO MY HEART………….

Before you get to my heart,

There is a road,
Down in the ghetto the size not so broad,
But long and crooked,
Horrible when it rains the sewage and the brook,
Kiss becoming united in one course,
To cause shame disease loss,
As you struggle through the smelly liquid and mud,
There is still a lot to conquer don’t get mad,

Along side you see old revolting shacks,
Staring back at you like hungry sharks,
They smell your blood you don’t belong here,
Smells more chocking sites more grotesque you shiver with fear,
You look up for a sign of relief but you only see toilets flying,
Desperation disappointments in your face but you keep from sighing,
Lest the contaminated air infects the lungs,
Bravely press on and see what in the end of the road hangs,

It’s my house you will arrive,
On the way was my love keeping you alive,
Am sorry you had to go through so much,
To get here to find your match,
Come in have a seat relax,
Allow me to undo the harm let me reverse,
Please don’t mind the thin walls of my hut,
Safe and sound you will always be in my heart,

ALMOST DEAD

All he has ever desired is love hope happiness,
But with each passing moment despondency and sadness,
Slowly creeps in his conveniently empty heart,
Helpless like a wounded trapped hart,
An able to evade the piercing arrows of this world,
Nor escape the jaws of the beast roaming the wild,
No one seems to care,
Even though they all are aware,
They watch him bleed to the ground,
The pain too much for him to even make a sound,
So he keeps it to himself as he waves a hand to send,
Good byes to all as he awaits his end,

ONE WAY LOVE

Lately I don’t know how I feel,
At the begin it all seemed real,
But now am not too sure,
May be I should let the situation to fully mature,
Before I can blurt it all out,
No! in fact am going to shout,
My therapist told me that’s the best way,
To get it out of my head and throw it far away,

Have you ever loved someone so insanely?
She drains all your energy but you fight it even though wanly,
Your feelings for her deeper than any ocean lake river or pond,
That you would give up eternity just to be with her for a second,
You don’t care what other people say good or bad,
Because in your eyes she’s such a dolly bird,
With a great heart and brightly beautiful inside,
Immensely refreshing like a sun set walk at the sea side,

Sadly though she’s not too sure about her feelings they are at a dispute,
Perhaps she thinks you’re immature foolish and destitute,
She worries what will her family say? how about her friends?
She’s afraid to walk with you lest you lead her into difficult trends,
She denies you even the simplest of romantic affection,
It hurts your soul more than Job’s terrible affliction,
But it would be stupid juvenile and lame,
To find her at fault you’re the only one to blame,

For thinking you would have her in the first place,
Now you’ve learned not to rush into things to control your pace,
You’re tired of playing that game you don’t give a fig,
Who wins or looses it’s not fair anyway she’s out of your league,
There is almost nothing left between you two just a huge gap,
May be it’s time to cut your losses count your blessings and pack up,
You don’t know what to do after much toing and froing,
You realize it’s not that simple like flipping a coin,

SO IS SHE!

Just like throwing a glance at red roses is breathtaking,
When the color lightens your eyes like lightning,
Only that it lasts longer tempting you to draw close,
Then you realize as you pick it up to the nose,
How it emits an extremely pleasant scent,
So is she, truly heaven sent,

Just like listening to an intricate captivating sound,
That steady’s your nerves and settles your heart pound,
May be a six silver stringed guitar,
As you get drunk with the music inciting your feet to teeter,
But your mind made calm collected and stable,
So is she, simply irresistible,

Just like tucking in a delicious dish,
Perhaps a marinated boneless fish,
Incredibly hot spicy and salty,
Yet unbelievably tasty,
Fully bringing your belly to joyous satisfaction,
So is she, adorably sweet with lots of tender affection,

Just like having your favorite drink,
Is refreshing as you allow it down your throat to sink,
Something very rich and expensive,
One that spins your head melting all that is pensive,
Perhaps champagne wine or whisky,
So is she, cute face with hair long and silky,

Ooh my I just blacked out!

ONLY THE SCARE-CROW REMAINS

My mind was raging in flames of sorrow,
Like a fully fledged wild fire,
So my feet compelled me to take a walk,
Across the vast splendid corn fields,
To ease my troubled broken heart,
Calm my blazing thoughts,
May be find a consolation of sorts,

I took easy slow steps,
A cool gentle breeze following from behind,
Whispering in my ear,
You’re going to be alright son,
Love comes and goes,
She’s not the only fine grain on the cob,
You will find an even better one,

Then I got to the spot where we would meet,
A round circle at the middle of the field,
Adorned with carefully slashed dried leaf seats,
Shielded all round beautifully by green grown plants,
And a fierce silent soldier standing still at the side,

There we would converge,
Just the two of us,
On most evenings to recount the day,
But honestly those very moments were its highlight,
When we would chat heart to heart,
Laugh snuggle and lock into passionate kisses,
And out of our breaths would come the hisses,
I will always love you,

Sometimes we would just lie there,
Facing up holding hands,
Watching the sun sink into an orange reddish horizon,
Or we would make fun of Mr. Corn Man,
His ugly nylon face,
With two hands one leg all wooden,

But he guarded well our meeting den,
With him the crops were safe,
And so was my lonely soul that evening,
His leg was buried deep in the soil,
So I was at least certain the scare-crow was going nowhere,
